Tamás Patkás, alias Tomi Rocky is currently the only Hungarian open water para-swimmer. He lost both his legs in a tragic accident when he was young. His life and marriage were ruined after the accident. Once a friend told him that he had very much abandoned himself, so he started to look for a sport for himself: he chose swimming. At first, the workers of the swimming pool center didn't give him much hope, but Tomi trained hard. He has swum across Lake Balaton several times - with better times every year - and has also successfully completed the Bosphorus swim from Europe to Asia. Tomi's achievements and personality were noticed by the media, he was embraced and sponsored. He started to work with coach István Rajos, who helped him a lot and he also learned to speed swim. He has constantly been improving his previous personal best times. This season Tomi swam 51 000 metres without legs.
