The last miners

The last mining mine in Hungary is located in Bakonyoszlop. In the past, coal and bauxite were mined, which a deeper lens is not economical to bring to the surface. At present, a mine is approaching a new bauxite layer with explosive technology. As most of the existing mines are closed, the miner profession has disappeared from Hungary. In Bakonyoszlop there are 3 miner and one head mine worker working in a shift, they are the last representatives of the mining profession in our country. Bakonyoszlop, 17th november, 2017.
